Prime Wireless Speaker System: Active with High connectivity at $600 a pair

These speakers seem to have a lot bang for the buck, would love to see a face off vs Wilson's Tune at $10,000, I've seen the frequency response chart on HiFi-News for the Wilson's and it's fairly ragged. Not to mention a sensitivity of 83db according to their tests, so bring on the power in a amp.

"The SVS Prime Wireless Speaker System combines immersive, reference quality sound with smart speaker control and future facing connectivity. Equipped with both WiFi and Bluetooth connectivity and the ability to control from your smartphone or any mobile device, it offers true stereo separation, a massively powerful internal amplifier, a high-resolution 192KHz/24-bit DAC and a precisely tuned digital crossover for sound quality that’s miles ahead of any other smart wireless speaker available.

Control of the Prime Wireless Speaker System is simple and seamless with the DTS Play-Fi app over WiFi, the front panel display or even with your voice using an Amazon Alexa device. Line level connections let it play with nearly any device in your home while delivering crisp and accurate sound with stunning dynamic impact. And with the included Play-Fi app, Prime Wireless can easily be used as a smart wireless music zone in a whole-home, WiFi-based multi-room audio system. Going wireless never sounded better.

Have you heard these?

I have had mixed experiences with the SVS Prime speakers, but I've not heard this specific model. Also, I've not heard any of them in a good acoustic environment. One time I found them bright with a depressed midrange and another I recall them being lifeless and flat with a tendency towards boomy bass. I don't consider the situations worthy of reporting because they were not in a good situation in either case, but I wasn't blown away to the point of wanting to hear them again.

I'd add, I find their power rating misleading. They list the power output as 200 watts (50W x 4), which suggests there are two amps per enclosure, or really a 100W per channel system. I think that is disingenuous. Most active speakers' power output ratings are per channel. So, two 50W amps per channel ought to mean a 100W system per channel. Just like we rate power amps. We don't really see many 5-channel amp spec sheets listing ratings for all channels combined. Instead, they are rated per channel.
