What Movie(s) Did You Watch Today?

One of my all-time favorite movies, but ... it's difficult to watch sometimes.

    What Are You Listening To?

The drummer is Billy Kilson, who is AMAZING. He's on one of Botti's live concert vids, which is where I first got to know him. I had a chance to see James and Kilson locally (well, almost, in DC) a while back and I've always regretted not going.

What Movie(s) Did You Watch Today?

How did I not know about this? OMG this is the best role for Nick Cage that I've ever seen. And Tarantino-like violence + humor. Loved it.

What Movie(s) Did You Watch Today?

I grew up in Los Alamos. I got the local "Oppenheimer scholarship" when I graduated from high school. I'm REALLY looking forward to seeing this one soon.

    What Are You Listening To?

Some pretty amazing chords/harmonies. And the bass+baritones are particularly awesome.

    Rick Beato

Saw this by a well known columnist that I like very much, in our local paper (Baltimore Sun) today, in a list of (basically) "random thoughts":

    Nice mellow groove.

What are you watching via streaming?

Ok so I started watching this today on a lark (I have the day off today as a fed), but I'm really enjoying it. Kinda cool to see Arnie acting again, not that he's any sort of great actor, but for the history, you know? Anyway, fun show, and doesn't take itself too seriously.

What Movie(s) Did You Watch Today?

I can't believe I've never seen this before, no idea how it fell so completely off my radar. Watched it this afternoon, enjoyed it very much.

    Diablo 4 anyone?

Yeah it's pretty rare for purchases of a game to allow for different game systems; the vast majority of people (I think) are pretty much dedicated to a single platform, so it's not really worth it for developers/sellers to deal with the issue of multiple platforms.

    Diablo 4 anyone?

Finished Diablo 3, not bad but... by the end I was ready to be done. It's just kinda repetitive - shoot many bad guys, loot armor and weapons, go back to town to examine/upgrade/sell loot, rinse and repeat. I guess the story was ok-ish, battle between heaven and hell with humans in the middle...

    Diablo 4 anyone?

So far so good! Similar in mechanics to a number of other games I've played (torchlight, grim dawn, etc.) but I dunno if Diablo was first and these others are copies... anyway, I'm enjoying Diablo 3, if that keeps up I'll certainly get 4 at some point (maybe after it's been out a while and is on...

    Diablo 4 anyone?

Holy shit this battle.net crap on pc, required to install on windows, is fucking terrible... not impressed.

    Diablo 4 anyone?

Ok well I just bought Diablo 3 (for PC) because it's much cheaper... we'll see how I like it.

    Diablo 4 anyone?

Hmmm... I've never played the diablo games, may give this a look though, if it's available for PC.

What Concert Video are you listening to?

I would give it an A-. Not my favorite of his live concerts ever, but it was very good. Recorded at Red Rocks last summer. Mostly songs from his latest album (Time Clocks), and with only one exception (Midnight Blues), all Joe's own songs. SQ/PQ are outstanding, as always (IMHO) with his...

    A Mark Waldrep sighting

Yeah I got that email too. I have many of his original recordings - on disc, surround sound, etc. He is/was amazing. While I understand his giving up on physical media with all of that... I'm also deeply saddened. I still buy CDs (and other disc types), although less frequently.
