Article on making panels

I used peg board on the back for the ones i made many moons ago

I wished I had thought of that when I made mine. It would have made hanging them easier.

It also makes them heavier and it does impact the bass performance.

I prefer an open or fabric back to keep the weight as low as possible, then use picture hanging wire to hang the panel with common picture frame hanging techniques. With a pegboard back the weight could get high enough that heavy duty picture hanging gear is necessary, which tend to be more destructive to the wall.

I just put squares of 2x2 on each corner, with felt on the back to keep the whole thing from scratching the wall, then as Flint says, just hung them with picture wire.

Ah, so just use a spacer??

So the panel does not have to be totally isolated from the wall, thanks!

Yes. Felt pad is to avoid contact noise when playing low frequency notes which can vibrate things.
