And if you don't want to drop a grand on those, I did a little searching on Amazon.com and good gosh there's some AMAZING reseller prices on discontinued Denons right now:
1. I see a new pair of AH-D5000 for $319 + $6.14 shipping - although the seller says you need to contact them first. Bait and switch?
2. That same seller is offering the AH-D2000 for $234 + $6.19 shipping.
3. Better yet (in my estimation) they're offering the AH-D7000 for $514 + $8.64 shipping. (Another seller is offering them for $500).
Did I say AMAZING prices? These are shockingly so. Just hope it's not a sham seller.
Personally I think the best deal (not necessarily savings off original price) is the AH-D5000 for that price.
