Best Buy/Magnolia Design Center: Anybody been to one?

Thought I would check one or two out, when I visit Chicago. I want to experience Dolby Atmos/DTS:X/Auro3D, not in a movie theatre but in a home type system. There are 3 of these stores in the Chicago area.

Emotiva and Seaton Sound will have rooms with Dolby Atmos at AXPONA, however these rooms are usually pretty large. The times I have heard Dolby Atmos and Auro3D at a regular movie theatre. One was in Times Square, I was impressed by how speakers were all over the walls and ceiling for the Dolby Atmos. However the sound just seemed like good Dolby Digital surround sound to me, the movie was Mad Max: Fury Road.

So I wanted to see if a system set up for an audience of 1 or 3, in home theatre setting is any better. Have also heard GDX which is Goodrich theatre's version and a IMAX theatre at the same theatre, with the same movie. Sound wise I liked the IMAX better, more bass from those large JBL's. Instead of 50 small speakers spread around the room. I also like the bigger IMAX screen and the fact you sit closer to it, though those 4K projectors definitely have a brighter, crisper image.

There's a Magnolia near me.
They have 2 "regular" listening rooms.
One with a wide range of speakers and general receivers from the usual suspects.
The 2nd room has stuff in the high thousands to tens of thousands. McIntosh
and high end B&W speakers etc.

There's a 3rd room set up like a Living Room with a Crestron type screen remote.
Lighting control, powered blinds. Drop down projector screen and a full rack system.
Dim the lights, fire up the system and pick a movie from the server system (I think they said it would be around $15k for the server).

Pretty nice setup, if I do say so myself.

Enjoy if you go.
