Oh wow, this is awesome, I was a huge fan of TNG! When I heard the rumors a while back, I assumed it wouldn't happen, let's hope this new series happens!
 
Yeah Picard (one 'c') has long been my favorite Star Trek character. Unfortunately, I won't have access to cbs for this... sigh. Will see it someday.
