Apparently Neal has decided to put out a truly solo album without his band, mostly written while touring this band's album, Similitude of a Dream.
I don't know if this is something I would like to hear because while he is a genius writer and arranger, his musical skills are not nearly as top notch as the musicians he works with, and sometimes his singing can be annoyingly like a desperate Christian chorus leader trying to force some sense of the Holy Spirit into the congregation.
We'll see. I will be tracking this release and may get it if the samples are good - or if Amazon Music Unlimited makes it available I may put of buying it.
