New "Film-Maker" mode for televisions!

Good. Too much useless (it detracts from the experience, actually) processing in the TV nowadays.
 
One thing I will say for most newer TV sets even now is that you can turn all that crap off, put them in "movie" mode and get something pretty well calibrated. This just evolves it a step or two further.

I like this because, like THX did for audio, this mode will be clearly defined as a standard to which all TV makers would be forced to cpmply in order to offer it as an option. If they do well at following the standard, then content creators can know what their stuff will look like in your home and in most homes.
