Persona 9H: Sounds really good to me

This is kind of late but the Legacy thread reminded of a speaker that I thought was one of the best of AXPONA 2017. The Persona 9H, of course it should sound good at 17.5k a speaker. But beryllium tweeters and midrange aren't cheap, plus dedicated amps for the four woofers and ARC room correction for the bass. Add it all up and its still a lot of speaker for the money, less than half the Legacy.

I do doubt one thing in the marketing about the complex grill for the tweeter and midrange, (perforated phase aligning-lenses) say what? Seems like they would cause a lot of internal reflections, I think they are trying to keep small fingers out and look good at the same time.

One thing I wanted to comment on in the Paradigm's dealers demo speech, which I thought was really cool. Probably dorky to our audio guru's though. The sales person had a tuning fork made of aluminum and struck it and let all of us hear in the front row how long it would vibrate for. Which was at least 40 seconds or more, if I remember correctly.

Then he struck his beryllium tuning fork and it ringed for about 10 seconds or less. Science in the service of art, or thats what I thought. Apparently I am easily amused, but a lot better than any of the snake oil listening tests. With vibration isolation devices, over priced cables, etc...

Perforated lenses were a big JBL thing back in the day. They were used in front of tweeter horns for dispersion.
