speaker setup with phase and time ??

In a home setup, the overriding criteria should be flattest frequency response across the crossover region of subwoofer to the main speakers. The sub should be located for flattest low end response, then look at the crossover region and adjust the phase control for flattest response. The time arrival for the speakers in a home theater setup can be adjusted in the receiver by adjusting the distance from the speakers to the listener.

In a pro application, there are zillions of other time arrival considerations which don't apply to a home environment.
