Spotify on Squeezebox classic

I know that the official Spotify app is no longer supported so I thought I would try one called Spotty. For the life of me I can not get this thing to authorize my squeezebox.
I am using a Synology ds216play as my Logitech Media Server. According to the interwebz people have reported that it works, but I keep running into the authorizaton brick wall!!
If anyone has a setup somewhat similar to this and is having success let me know please!!

Just a wild guess but in my experience, some websites and servers seem to hate Canada and block Canadian users from accessing them.

Problem is, I can access it with my web browser, with the windows 10 app, and with the android app on my Blackberry. So the fault is somewhere either with the Spotty (spotify app) or my Synology server??
It also says I need a premium account, however premium doesn't seem to affect how many devices I have connected to Spotify? I have tried two devices and it works fine, so that can't be it.
Driving me nuts!!!
Mike
