There won't be a "BDP-93SE" - but the BDP-95 will fill the same niche (upgrade to ESS DAC's, dedicated stereo analog output, plus a balanced stereo analog output) when it arrives soon. I'm not sure when, but it sounds like the BDP-95 will be released right behind the BDP-93's final launch.

Quite a few of us (myself included) disable DVD 24p conversion. The DVD format never really had a formal way to support 24p output, since the format was established almost a decade before consumers had any way to display 24p video, and as a result trying to implement 24p output can be hit-or-miss.

Motion smoothing is a video processing function. The TV may not have to scale or deinterlace (a 1080p panel and a 1080p source would eliminate any need for either processes), but the smoothing function is a processing mode in which the display generates unique frames to "smooth" the image.

I was disappointed to see Secrets post a review with such a glaring mistake. Several S570 owners posted in the comments section that the player does not support DVD-Audio, as is to be expected with Sony (originator of DVD-A's rival, SACD).

Both players do feel pretty stable these days, but I would expect to see updates if there are any new disc releases that cause problems. Thankfully, the frequency of such releases has gone down some from past years.
