I can't stand horror movies but I bought this for my wife last Valentine's Day because she liked it. It has a great soundtrack. The opening New Line Cinema with the kids singing Oranges and Lemons is creepy as hell and sets the tone of the movie. I actually like it as demo material
Okay here's the setup. I took the picture and then freaked out thinking the bottom of my speakers were scraped up. Then I realized it was a reflection of the 10 AWG wire on my floor awaiting install. As you can see the front predrilled holes are in front of the base plate
Problem is the predrilled holes and footprint are too big. The front holes go out a bit from the base. The back is the only one that works. But again the clamping is the majority of hold
Okay it has taken me a bit but I finally took down the speakers and mounts so I could drill a hole in them wide enough to accommodate a 1/4" bolt. I used a 9/32" drill bit and drilled in the existing smaller hole on the back of the base plate.
The bolt fits perfectly and the 1/4" bolt screws...
Going to The Black Keys and Modest Mouse tour coming to Houston in November. Woohoo. I haven't bought tickets but I will be going once tickets go on sale. I saw The Black Keys when they performed at venues that were hole-in-the-walls.
Well apparently @Towen7 and I went to the Rodeo at the same time to see Kings of Leon. That said, I completely can't stand the acoustics in NRG stadium so any concert stinks there. This particular one was bass heavy that really drowned out the lead singer's voice but I think about 4 songs in...
Or would you suggest an Atmos array. Floor, mid wall and then in-ceiling? This could be the best I'm guessing. So if someone is sitting on a bar stool versus a recliner, they will have vertical linearity. I'm definitely thinking about this right so don't tell me otherwise.
That was pure sarcasm/tongue-in-cheek. Yes I realize that to be the case.
So where to put 15 of them in my room. 3 as my seats, four in the corners, 4 suspended in the corners but at the ceiling and 4 in the bottom section of my L. WINNNER!!!!
We watched 2 episodes last night on Blu-ray and I really enjoyed the Atmos soundtrack. I realize I don't have the full Atmos array but my rear backs were involved along with the side surrounds. The rain and thunder was very nice.
I received the article in a newsletter but apparently it is also online now.
