Although - as part of my quirkiness - I find walking into a room with massive speakers on full display to be perfect room décor. Amps; no Massive speakers; yes. :)

Thanks Flint. I understand why some would do that - just aesthetically - I don't like it. I've seen so many photos where the amps are dead center, as if the focal point of the room, sitting on the floor (I've even seen some with ambient lighting on them). Just my personal taste.

Personally, I’ve never been a fan of the amps on the floor look. Especially front and center. In a rack, as invisible as possible- aesthetics only.

Not at all. If watching network tv I always change channels during commercials or mute the sound. Always.

I have a 5 disc player that makes noise when changing disks. I can hear it from my seated position with no music. That's it.

Thanks Randy. Don’t get me wrong - it’s nice but 90% of what I listen to is going to be 30hz and up. For movies, the impact of LFE - shaking the couch and vibrating windows is, to me, more important than the feeling of my head being squeezed. I like the impact feel more than air pressure feel...

For my sub, I actually start decreasing output at 50 hz with eq to allow for room gain to compensate. When measuring- at 15 hz I have 5dbs more than at 60 hz- which slowly decreases as we move up the frequency ladder. At 15khz, I’m about 5 dbs lower than at 60hz. If I left the sealed sub wide...

I have a dual 15 inch sealed from PSA and it is a killer sub. Of course my room is treated and it’s at an optimal position- but it doesn’t lack subsonic ooomph at all. Could go lower- just don’t know why I would want it to.
