I've just upgraded the forum software to Xenforo 2.0. Please let me know if you have any problems with it. I'm still working on installing styles... coming soon.
Nice to know I'm not the only one that watches movies/tv out in the shop. That said, I've never been able to get into the AKG sound sig, I'm sure it's just personal preference but they always almost just sound deflated for lack of another word.
When I want to watch something quietly in the...
Finally got around to watching this, it’s surprisingly much better than I thought it would be. Few good jumps and great pic and sound. The guy that played Pennywise was also quite a nice surprise as I hesitated from watching this because of just how good Tim Curry did in the original.
So I picked up the players, checked them out in my shop and they work perfectly. Bonus is that one of them is actually the 995 with hdmi so that one will be loaded with all the movies while the 885 is component so I will load that with all the tv shows.
Also the guy failed to tell me that they...
Got the info from a salesman at PartsExpress. He said that the last digits are the week/year the tweeter was built, and as long as the other numbers match the tweeter will be a match.
I have an old pair of Infinity RS 3's that I love and one of the tweeters went out, the numbers on the back of the tweeter are as follows..
333232-001
101673R
49-97
I am able to find tweeters that match the first two rows but have not been able to find any with the 49-97. I've found a few...
I seriously wish I could just down load everything and be done with the actual discs but besides the audio the other problem for me is that if done that way then you can only view or listen to that content on one tv. I have setups all over my house as well as my shop so being able to grab a disc...
I would love to abandon dvds, blu rays and even cds but streaming just can't put out the same level of audio quality, or at least none that I could find.
I have the opportunity to purchase two of these in like new condition with original remotes both for $150. This seems like a good price and I was thinking that I could load them up with all of my dvds and store all the cases. I have around 800 dvds so this would be a nice space saver if not...
yes but to get style, passion and all that you would still have to see the musician live. Lots of things happen in a studio that can either build music up to be bigger then what it actually is or kill a song completely with shit mixing etc.
I consider myself a good musician, if you saw me...
Just an FYI Hall was only 17 when they recorded that so you are correct he was very young. His playing on this song while aggressive is actually pretty spot on to what Bill Ward does on the original. I have had the pleasure of sitting behind Hall and watch him play and he plays the song exactly...
This is imo the best this song has ever been covered. I've been a metal drummer since I was a kid and something about Greg Halls drumming in this just takes the song to a whole new level for me.
Not a whole lot of remakes get the nod from me but this is one of the rare occasions when the remake is actually better then the original. Yes it has cheesy cgi but it all adds up to good gory fun and the LFE channel gets a serious workout during the finale.
Oh and the head vampire is just so...
