I've just upgraded the forum software to Xenforo 2.0. Please let me know if you have any problems with it. I'm still working on installing styles... coming soon.
Here’s another one that Sanus says should work:
From Costco for $150:
https://www.costco.com/sanus-preferred-37"-90"-full-motion-tv-mount.product.4000041956.html
Unfortunately, at least one review mentioned it being difficult to keep the TV level. This seems to be a complaint I’ve seen with...
UPDATE: So yesterday I picked up an LG C2 48”. Picture is more than fine for a bedroom with viewing angles of OLED. Speakers suck bad though I’ll keep it.
Right now it’s just sitting on a dresser. But I‘ll wall mount it eventually. I’d like to be able to pull it out to about a 45 degree...
I’m clearly an idiot who just can’t stop. More recent DVD purchases. And one might ask why DVD and not Blu-ray, at least, if not streaming. I dunno. Price, I guess. I think everything I’ve bought has mostly been quite a lot cheaper than streaming. That said, it doesn’t exactly feel cutting...
Since you mentioned the C2, I’ll bring it up. One slight downer is that apparently the 42” and 48” C2s aren’t quite the same panel as the larger C2s. According to an LG spec sheet I saw somewhere I think they’re saying those smaller sets don’t get quite as bright as the larger C2 models...
I suspect you’re right.
But I tell ya. I was 99% of the way there ready to impulse this thing earlier today. But now I’m not sure it’s gonna happen today. This has been an on and off idea for me the last couple of weeks.
I actually tried going cheap and last weekend bought a Hisense Roku VA...
I’m kicking around the idea of maybe putting an LG C2 OLED 42” TV in the bedroom. But it’s already wall-to-wall shit in there. So my plan would be to get a full motion mount that would let me either put it somewhat flush to the wall for when I want to watch TV in bed. And then also be able to...
And, of course, Tears for Fears is just plain awesome. And I do seem to remember that Kid A song sounding pretty good, too. Mind you it’s probably been close to a decade (or two) since I heard it, especially so on a decent system. Similarly, just going off of decades-old memory here, but I do...
He mentions Jellyfish’s “Joining a Fanclub” somewhere in the 30s (I think). Now… my ears are somewhat shot nowadays for critical listening, but I’d like to mention a different song off the same record.
No idea how it sounds on a proper system, but I really like the song “New Mistake”. When I...
I’ll always have a slight hatred toward RedBox simply because it was sometimes a pain to return DVDs.
One time the machine just wouldn’t take my disc. But mostly it was due to sometimes running into machines where there were people browsing for something to watch. I’m sure it wasn’t this bad...
Been listening to some Emo shit lately. (Or Emo-like shit?)
My Chemical Romance, Simple Plan, Evanescence, 30 Seconds To Mars. Didn’t care that much for it the first go around, but now there’s a handful of classics that I’m really into. Probably gonna go all in on the Emo lifestyle. Black...
Shaving+marker = less stray laser light. Less stray laser light = more accurate tracking. More accurate tracking = less error correction. Less error correction = more accurate reproduction. More accurate reproduction = It sounds more like the recording was intended.
Makes sense to me. I...
and with the added music royalties fee what’s it come to like 9 or 10 bucks?
hey that’s still a good deal for 48kbps quality (if they havent improved it from the bad old days when I had Sirius installed in my 2003 Ford Ranger aftermarket). Been too many years since I cancelled but think my...
Oh and then one more thing went wrong…. When I later bought an Apple TV 4K for the 50” Samsung I discovered the two devices didn’t play nice. Almost like an HDMI handshake issue. With presumably protected content I would either get picture or no sound OR sound but no picture. I kind of blame...
