I've just upgraded the forum software to Xenforo 2.0. Please let me know if you have any problems with it. I'm still working on installing styles... coming soon.
I thought about that because I read on a music forum that it didn't need a phantom power supply. However I'd still be stuck with the crappy sound card in my laptop. If I had a desktop, I'd put in a good sound card & be all set.
Thank you guys. I appreciate your help.
Yes I did the updates and followed the procedures carefully - from both True RTA & forum members here that were using the same setup. However, no matter how many times I ran it, there was no consistency in the results, so for me it was totally unreliable. I could do multiple sweeps from the...

The only drawback (to some people) is the lack of computer...
Have you tried plugging all the power cords into the same surge suppressor? If not, maybe some are on one circuit breaker & the rest are on another...... just a thought.
Ground loops cause noise even when the amp isn't on?
Sounds to me like the TV is the problem - documented many times for certain brands/models. One or more members here returned new TV's due to this problem IIRC...........
If you have tweaked the picture,I/O, etc. settings on your TV, record them also just in case. If you have a cable or other set-top-box record those settings also. Many of these settings may be non-volatile for a while, but it wouldn't hurt to write them down. You could also plug in the eqpt...
