I've just upgraded the forum software to Xenforo 2.0. Please let me know if you have any problems with it. I'm still working on installing styles... coming soon.
The reason I began using headphones is I finally setup a desktop at home after years of only using laptops. Dual screens made my life so much easier as a teacher since I can have my grade book on one side and grade student work on the other screen.
Hey guys. I know it's been a while since I...
I'm contemplating on whether to connect it to my 5 Parasound 5 channel amp but I think I'll use it as it is. I don't want to have to connect extra cables to my amp from the AVR.
I actually watched SkyFall last night with my Bluray player connected to it. It sounded good but the movie sucked...
Finally updated my old B&K preamp yesterday with a Pioneer Elite SC-71. Typical setup with auto setup and checked with my SPL meter and everything is good. What I didn't expect was they have an app for your iPhone/iPad. Pretty basic but still nice. I guess they assume once you've calibrated your...

Call them and ask them for the new customer pricing and threaten to drop them if they don't give your better pricing. I just called Comcast yesterday after seeing an ad for 50 Mbps download/ 19 Mbps upload for $61/mo. My current plan with tax is about $73/mo which is 30 Mbps download/6...
Looks like they're actually implementing this. I fell asleep with the TV on and my AV system on and it pretty much kept the same volume throughout the night. I used to wake up when early morning commercials come in.
The end of loud commercials

But smaller TV stations can ask for a one year waiver.
I think the current AppleTV's SDK will be announced next week to developers so I'm thinking apps will be made for it like the iPhone and iPad so we might be seeing games, etc on the AppleTv but at the same time you can do this through AirPlay.
With Apple's minimalist design however I'm not sure...
I use the digital copies only to put the movies on my ipad or stream it through the AppleTv. On some of the codes that have expiration dates I emailed the the company and they gladly sent me a new code. I did attach the proof of purchase on my email.
I would watch regular shows on it and just wait a few weeks to break it in. Calibrate then recalibrate after another few weeks. No need to leave it on 24/7. It will get broken in in due time.
Congrats on the new tv.

Im hoping prices will be competitive at the 60 inches and higher models.
it will be hard to see the difference between 720p and 1080p at 10 feet. However if you go over the 50 inch range 1080p might be a worthwhile investment once you get to the 60-inches and above.
I still have a 720p 50 inch plasma and am completely happy with it.
Directv just released an iPad app. Looks good however unlike their Directv scheduler it doesn't work everywhere. Cool concept though but it needs to have the same functionality of the scheduler and also needs to stream video like Comcast's Xfinity app.
