Zack Snyder is just not a quality director. Barely on a higher tier than Michael Bay. I used to think he would be the perfect director for a stand alone Bat-flick.

I doubt it. I believe it’s been available in multiple forms for a while and hasn’t caught on yet. I think unless it’s paired with the right content at the right levels it can be quite gimmicky and can be a distraction.

Zachary and I saw Godzilla Minus One this past Thursday. He loved it, I enjoyed it. I’m not a huge Godzilla fan but def grasp the appeal of this film.

I was not a fan of the new Godzilla x Kong trailer. The franchise trajectory, while maybe not as bad, reminds me of Batman ‘89 through Batman and Robin. I feel/see massive tonal changes from one to the next. It seems that studios in charge of franchises, never learn that bigger is not always...

I’m down to buying virtually no discs lately, some of it is because I don’t currently have the system to maximize the format and another reason is new movies that I would even consider buying are just trickling out. Movie release delays due to covid really futzed up the theatrical release...

Amidst all the hoopla, I went and saw Barbie w my wife and SiL. The critics (pro and general audience) were on point with this movie. Surprisingly entertaining and hysterical. Probably a bit woke for some, but this is the world we live in for now. I enjoyed it and I’m not ashamed to admit it.

For me I would say it’s my favorite Non-Batman flick from Nolan. AND I’d still put it ahead of The Dark Knight Rises.

I appreciate how he collaborates with his composers early and often and allows them to have an influence on his storytelling and he’ll actually mold the movie around the score at times in fact. I watched The Mother with Catherine a couple nights ago. I thought overall it was pretty poor. I didn’t buy Lopez in the role and thought it was a terrible editing and directing job.

I can’t tell you the last time I picked up a controller for any video game……my son is playing it too, but I love the Zelda franchise so much I enjoy watching him as if I were playing it myself.
