The hidden secret.

Came across an old oak coffee table for free. Oak does not fit our living room décor, so I refinished it this past weekend. First was to disassemble it, then a lot of sanding, and finally paint. To get the finish I wanted it took three cans of Rustoleum with turbo spray nozzle.

Spent the afternoon replacing the bias resistors in this amp. The factory carbon composition ones fail with age. They literally split open.

Personally, I would pull the amp out, fill the hole with some 3/4" MDF, and recut it to fit a $99 300 watt D-class amp from Parts Express. It's a good bang for your buck fix and you can use the other $200 for some other toys.
