What Concert Video are you listening to?

I'm glad you found this enjoyable. Melody Gardot is one of favorite female singers. Not just her vocals and influence of jazz but her spirit and will to overcome being run over and having to start from scratch. She doesn't wear sunglasses to be cool. She still has a sensitivity to light, after...

    Wardsweb Systems Update

Added an AppleTV and a small screen to stream in the dining room. I guess it isn't really a dining room anymore. It is just another 2-channel system listening area.

Audio is a journey. It evolves over time. Here is my system that started out home stereo and turned into a home theater. The first picture is 2002. The last picture is 2020.

    Weekend Project - Nakamichi 700ZXE

There is a motor and belt that runs the capstan. There is another motor and belt that rotates a cam gear that lifts the heads/pinch rollers transport. The cam gear grease was sticky and the belt was drying out. These didn't allow the head to engage, so no music. It took several hours to take the...

    Weekend Project - Nakamichi 700ZXE

I fixed this cassette deck for a friend. It is a really great deck, but way over engineered and a PIA to work on.

    Behringer NU6000 upgrade

Today's project was replacing the fans in the NU6000 amp and painting it black. The fan noise went from 45dB to 15dB. It is quiet now and blends better with the other gear in the home theater.

True and they take up more room because they are locked in carbonite.

    Mandalorian discussion thread!

I love the A-10. It's a bad boy that kicks butt. My favorite is the F4 Phantom. The muscle car of the sky. It proves if you put big enough engines on a brick, it will fly.

    Mandalorian discussion thread!

I think the ship is built more for functionality and not for looks. It has big engines and big guns. Kind of like a space version of the A-10 Warthog.

What are you watching via streaming?

Rose and I have started the 1st season of the original Star Trek. I think there are 23 episodes in the first season. I loved it as a child. Now it brings back memories and laughs for being campy and cheesy. Still love it.

    Wardsweb Systems Update

The projector isn't very apparent in the picture above. I use a motorized linear actuator to drop the projector down two feet from the ceiling, when watching a movie, so the projection clears the 72" ceiling fan. The projector goes up to the ceiling, when not in use.

    Wardsweb Systems Update

Here is what the system looks like when watching a movie on the drop down screen. This really shows the point of the gear being a tool and not the focus. You watch a movie. You listen to music. If you watch the gear, you're doing it wrong.
