God!! I am like incredible Hulk green with envy!!! Almost daily i pass by the mall here and i always go and watch the oled tv displays and just drool over them as i could never afford buying one unless i mortgage my house. Man like they say you suck big time!
Hi Deacon. I got master and commander on dvd but unfortunately when my old player died the one that i bought could not play it. I think region problem.
Has anyone seen this cowboy movie with Kevin Kostner? I think it is one of the best in terms of sound recording. You could test your subs here because the gunshots were awesome! So far i think the gunshots in this movie were recorded to appear very very loud! Please watch it and give your comments.
Besides both of them are not considered high end . The rega is a flat wire type while the silver is just ordinarily skinned with regular insulations you see in other wires for speakers.
I do revisit the second to the last iteration of transformers once or twice a month. But i could not finish it. I like the movie as a whole but it looks over saturated for my taste on both my lg and sharp tvs. I have been wondering why they processed its color that way. Just too much for me.
Reason I asked is because i got one with the same length as my rega speaker wires. At least to my ears the rega sounded muffled in the midrange area which i did not notice before i bought the locally made silver wire. The silver sounded brighter. I tried it many times and it sounded to me like i...
My boss had the 901 from Bose and after about a couple of years to our surprise it sounded like there was a guy gurgling with Listerine inside. When we opened the grill all the rubber or foam of the drivers disintegrated! Amazing products for them!!?
Yes! I recall those posts about the Bose cubes costing 20$ and selling for 200$! And those other posts about them bragging about how nice their Bose sounded and most of us members at s & v secretly giggling. How could i forget those funny anecdotes about Bose folks the guys at s&v would tell?
Back in the 90s i put up a small mobile disco gear rental service. Since I was a noobie on it I didn't want any trouble while doing the service. As i had only one set I thought it would be disastrous if it malfunctioned. So at the onset I bought the best gear that my money then would...
Here in Manila same thing is happening though a bit slower than out there. Here an online store named Lazada corners most of the business because they do cod payments and they have local service. One time when i was auditioning some gears in an audiophile store, one Lazada guy came and asked the...
That surely is a very nice rig. Back in the nineties led was not yet in vogue. Halogen was king. I didnt have the auto light control for my disco lights but just an improv on and off array i made myself. Your latest additional lights and future video wall project is exciting!
I agree. For me especially here there sre some movie houses that dont have very good systems, their movies become really dark and difficult to watch at times. I struggle a bit on night scenes. I think because bats go out at night and batman is the main character that they purposely made it dark...
Over here it is easier. The head fi store where i get my gears has a huge collection of flac music of almost all genre. All i have to do is get my hard drive and copy all i want then listen from my gears be it headphones or via home audio.
I just read the first paragraph and i already have a headache. Too much info for a small brain like mine. Lol!
Great thread SH! If only i could understand most of them. He he he.
I recall back in the s&v days you guys made a demo disc of great movie scenes with dts sound. Barney sent me one then. May he rest in peace. I guess it is next to impossible to make one again using the blu ray format.
