Half way through six episode Western series American Primeval on Netflix. Pretty engaging so far. Style (albeit not necessarily substance) lands somewhere in between The Revenant and Hostiles.
We went to 9:30am showing Christmas morning the theater was packed. Did not disappoint. Eggers (fast becoming my favorite modern director) has pretty much reset the bar for the classic vampire story IMO. Masterful retelling of the traditional story somehow simultaneously felt both familiar but...
So the 13 minutes of extra footage turned out to be pre and post feature directors interview and documentary material. Great to see but we were a little disappointed that it wasn’t added in movie content or a directors cut like we thought it was going to be. Still very happy to be able to see...

They had a number of holy grail movie artifacts. Mostly classic monster/horror Vincent Price was a friend and donated a lot of masks, costumes, props, etc. But also some newer era items.
Saw some great movie artifacts last night and met the artist who made a lot of them he was cool and full of amazing stories what a career he has had. Will post some pics later.
