I've just upgraded the forum software to Xenforo 2.0. Please let me know if you have any problems with it. I'm still working on installing styles... coming soon.
I guess that's what dust collection and air filtration is for!
This makes me want to do another speaker build really bad. Give that expensive dado set a workout.
The only downside to MDF is the dust. The dust is the worst. Obviously, this has nothing to do with material selection. MDF is clearly the best material. I just hate the dust.
Did I mention I hate MDF dust?
I'm not sure how that would look. The panels you have up there are pretty nice looking. If you do the black, I would consider running it all the way to the ceiling. Or maybe not. What I'm getting at is an isolated stripe across the wall might look weird.
I will likely snag Star Trek TNG, Voyager, and DS9 at some point, but it is not a priority. I spent something like $400 on TV series, but I am also cutting back on my streaming services. The big pocketbook killers have been woodworking and home renovation. I haven't spent a dime on AV in quite...
I tend to snag things when they are on sale. Moonlighting was only recently released after decades of being held up by licensing issues with the music. I definitely plan to buy it, but I've already spent a lot and need to take a pause. I didn't like Highway to Heaven or Dallas when they aired...
I bought a ton of old TV series on Vudu and have been watching them with the family. It is fun introducing my daughter to some of the shows I grew up on, like The Fall Guy, Magnum, Miami Vice, and others.
I am really surprised at how well Miami Vice aged. It was truly groundbreaking and I think...
Damn. You are really inspiring me to get back to building speakers. I've got boxes of drivers and parts (nothing high end) just waiting for me. I'm sure I'll get a bunch built as soon as I replace all of my floors with hardwood, repaint the inside of the house, renovate the kitchen, and finish...
That's what Flint uses too and it works great for doing rough material break down.
I bought a track saw because I build a lot of cabinets and there are a couple accessories that make it awesome. One is a track square. Mine works like a miter gauge with detents at commonly used angles and it is...
Breaking the sheets down is the only way to fly. I usually drop mine on a sheet of 2" foam insulation and use my track saw. I am done wrestling 4x8 sheets through the table saw by myself.
Amazon Music has high resolution for a lot of music and lossless for the rest. The quality is every bit as good as Tidal. Not sure how the pricing compares. I am not talking about the free Prime stuff.
