    Home Theater Paint/Furniture Make-Over

I shifted almost all my purchases to Vudu around 2014 and am sitting at a bit over 1400 on Vudu and around 700 on disc. I only upgrade favorite movies that get watched a lot over time to UHD and only when they are on sale. I'm guessing I'm at around 100 including upgrades and purchases for 4K.

    Home Theater Paint/Furniture Make-Over

I have 8 full size, 1 half width and 2 half height Billy bookcases in my house. Most of them have glass doors because we mix books with fragile curios and we have cats. I'm a big fan.

    WW84 Spoiler Thread

I enjoyed it. It was definitely not in the same class as the original, but it was more mediocre than terrible. Working on a five star scale where Batman & Robin is a 1 and The Dark Knight is a 5, I would give this movie a solid 3.5.

    Worth upgrading a Fire Stick?

HBO Max and Peacock were the main reasons I connected an Android TV device to a Roku TV. If all my subscriptions end up on Roku, I might not bother with it.

    Further adventures in cord-cutting

It is about $6/mo per service, except YouTube Premium, which is $15. I have a family membership to YouTube Premium, which includes YouTube Music. That is five named users, so not a terrible deal. I'm a bit bummed about the demise of Google Play Music, because YouTube Music is not that great though.

    Worth upgrading a Fire Stick?

Google TV supports both, but I thought HBO Max finally made a deal with Roku (or was that Peacock?).

    Worth upgrading a Fire Stick?

One advantage of the Google TV option is that it supports Peacock.

    Further adventures in cord-cutting

I spend about a total of roughly $400 a year to not watch ads on YouTube, Hulu, CBS All Access and Peacock.

    Further adventures in cord-cutting

We are approaching the point where we will be able to access most of the live local network TV stuff without needing a live TV package. I can watch my local CBS affiliate via CBS All Access and can get live content from NBC via Peacock. PBS also provides live content from my local affiliate...

Most new movies release in Atmos. Many of the streaming services are adopting Atmos. I don't think surround is going anywhere.

"Classic" movies to watch with my kids?

I own over 2000 films and I've probably seen triple that, so getting it down to something like a top ten is really hard. There is also the distinction between movies I really like to watch and movies that I think are in the "best movies" category. For example, I've watched Underworld a dozen...

    Theatrical releases... at home!

I was one of the dummies who paid $30 for Mulan on Disney+ only to have it show up on Vudu a few weeks later for the same price. Not doing that again.

    Need new 65 inch tv.

I have an X940, which was the 2015 flagship, it still looks amazing and I hope to get another five years out of it. The new ones look even better at half the price.

    Netflix Raising Price

We still watch Netflix more than any of the other services, so keeping it is a no-brainer for us.
