When they got inducted in the RRHoF, I saw where Nickelback played "Sharp Dressed Man".
I hate Nickelback, but gotta to give them credit. I thought they did a pretty good cover of that song.
I can't remember the shows, but I remember one where a small part of a roadway was dug out where a guy could be camouflaged and wait until someone came up on him and he'd scare the shit out of them. Hilarious.
Another one had contestants dressed with nothing but a pair of speedo shorts, with...
I saw Steely Dan with Elvis Costello last year. Honestly, I'd love to see them again. I think that's the best show I've seen. I want to see them again.
I'm going to have to scour the interwebs to see if there is a bootleg CD of that show I could trade for. They opened with a cover of Ray...
Been back in an Afrobeat/Afrofunk kind of mood of late. The horns, percussion, bass...I freaking can't get enough of this genre.
I love the opening horns on "Water No Get Enemy"
Just got this in recently. My favorite track is Heaven and Hell. Great tune. It's different, but I like it...
Geeze, I hope they come to New York or California........(rolls eyes).
They have one date in Nashville.....October 14th. That's a Friday, so I'd have to see how that played out (no Saturday OT). I got to see Patittucci in Knoxville back in 2001 for Herbie Hancock's Directions in music tour...
I remember that song from my childhood. I too didn't remember it being that complex.
Jeff,
How much were the CDs going for? Maybe check out cdandlp.com for some of the rarer albums. I've had good luck with that sight.
I really can't get enough of this album. I love the string arrangements and this tells me how underrated Johnny Greenwood is as a musician. I think I may like it better than In Rainbows.
That would scare the hell out of me if that happened at night. That Kangaroo has almost a were-wolfish stature to it.
As for the Tom Jones video.......Holy shit, that was amazing!! If there's an actual album of CSNY&J, I'm buying it!
I agree about them doing it to themselves. I used to have the top 250 package with Dish, then dropped down to the Top 200. That saved me a little bit, but two-three years later I was paying for the same price as I was before. They do have too many channels, but it does come in handy if you're a...
Found this.
ESPN Continues to Lose Subscribers
With 60% of their revenue coming from cable and sat, I guess there's more people going to "web TV" than I thought. Kinda hate it for them, but I'm not going back to paying $70 more a month to Dish to help them out either.
Superstar Concert Series Presents....An Evening with Genesis. Air date, 4-1984
If you liked the first three Santana albums, then go ahead an add this
Radiohead's new album, A Moon Shaped Pool. The more I listen to it, the more I like it. Has the same kinda vibe to it that In Rainbows...
