Yeah my problem is that the equipment is in a closet, so when the sound cuts out by the time I get to the closet the problem disappears. I also notice that this seems to happen when I watch something via streaming. I'll have to take notes.

Come to think of it, I have a 5.1.4 system and the 4 atmos channels are plugged to the amp and the center channel too. It might be my receiver. Damn it!!
I have an Anthem MCA 50 that I bought used about 10 years ago. Lately the sound on my system has been cutting out and I believe it is the amp that I can hear power down and then back up again. My system is in a closet so I can't see when it happens.
Is it possible the amp is kicking the bucket...
