For some artists the drugs opened up worlds of brilliance and creativity which were later harnessed to create great music. The Pretty Things hit their peak with "S.F. Sorrow" but then struggled and barely survived. Perhaps the drugs were too much. Look in that drummers eyes. This was an amazing event those in attendance will probably never forget, but he was lost.
