Pro audio has a good paper on the effects of boundary loading and speakers.

I felt this was good reading and points out that a horn can limit the effects of the boundary interaction. The community horn is similar to the horn that I have been working with. My horn does not get as low on the crossover as the midrange they are working with. My horn also is a 60 x 40 design. The ANS is the 90 x 40 and not a midrange but a higher unit like I run. The ANS is a 1 inch Throat and mine has a 2 inch throat.

When they place the speaker in the corner of the floor and wall the boundary effect with the sonex still does little to help with the lower bass.
