Malcom Young had a stroke, leaving a blood clot on his brain and him unable to play.

While I'm not a huge fan with all their albums, their sound weaves in and out throughout my life. Godspeed, Malcom...

From their website:
After forty years of life dedicated to AC/DC, guitarist and founding member Malcolm Young is taking a break from the band due to ill health. Malcolm would like to thank the group’s diehard legions of fans worldwide for their never-ending love and support.

In light of this news, AC/DC asks that Malcolm and his family’s privacy be respected during this time. The band will continue to make music.

According to the radio today, it looks like they may continue to tour without Malcom and then he may return sometime in the future if his health allows.

1980 when Bon Scott passed, all the talk was AC/DC was finished because Scott was irreplaceable. Here we are 34 years later. AC/DC ROCKS and will continue to do so till hell freezes over!

The original post stated that they weren't sure; I hope you guys are right and they continue.
But then I think about... Beach Boys without Brian Wilson, or worse, Queen without Freddy. :| Malcom wasn't showy like his brother, nor recognizable like Brian, but I still feel he was the soul of this band. (plus, he was One Of The Few uglier than me but got more chicks :bow-blue: )

Sad news. Hope they continue, but I don't think they would be the same without Malcom.

Got to see them last year in St. Louis, they were pretty freakin good. Glad I got to see them with Malcolm.

They toured for quite a while without him years ago due to his addictions, I'm sure they will keep on keepin on.
