According to the WSJ Philip Seymour Hoffman has died

I read where he had checked himself into rehab last year. He always seemed like the stereotypical heroin addict. I recall a a Charlie Rose interview where he was sweating bullets and skin was just pasty pale he looked terrible. Sad these talented people cannot cope outside of acting.

Of course im just speculating the fact will be weeks or months away but hate to keep losing this kinda talent.

I clicked on the link and get a "page not available". Hopefully that means that fubared and PSH sin't really dead. More than likely I'm probably just blocked because I don't subscribe to the WSJ.

Yeah he has passed away. A real shame, he had a broad range. He could do drama, comedy, good guy, bad guy, etc...sorry to hear this terrible news.

That link doesn't work but there are many, many more popping up. It's sad to see anyone taken by addiction.

You got that right. I hate to hear of his passing. As Chris mentioned, he was a very versatile actor.

hmmm I don't subscribe to the WSJ either but I just clicked it and it opened for me. I opened from drudge maybe that what it takes is drudereport to be open?

The links working for me now too. Maybe WSJ took it down in order to update the story.

Capote was one of his best works. Even if he had minor parts in films, he managed to stand out. Dusty in Twister. He was also in The Big Lebowski.
