Paul's Boutique could not be made today. It was a pioneering album that gets little attention. Sad to see anyone go so young. Kinda feels like losing a friend, been listening to Beasties since I was a little kid.

I had the privilege of seeing them live at Lollapalooza '94 in New Orleans during their Ill Communication tour. Still one of my favorite albums although i dig most of their albums. Paul's Boutique has grown on me. i was not too thrilled with it upon first listens when it was released. On that tour, they split the set between rap and rock. They donned their instruments for Sabotage and many other songs.
You wanna know how powerful the '94 Lollapalooza lineup was? Beastie Boys, Smashing Pumpkins (Siamese Dream era), George Clinton and the Punk Funk All-Stars, Nick Cave (missed because we were late to the show), and I believe A Tribe Called Quest.
