Adele on "In the Attic Roadshow"

So even though I had both Adele cd's before the Grammys I looked her up on youtube and found this. Quite funny and quite prescient, at least on Rachel Fuller's part. I wonder if the smoking is part of the voice. Wonder if she still smokes? In my hunt for my first acoustic guitar I was also quite intrigued by the acoustic she played. Apparently so was Pete Townshend. A ringing endorsement for Simon & Patrick (division of GODIN)as he seemed to like the guitar. Am curious though, he said to her "You may not be able to play it (her words) but at least you can tune it and that is the important thing" Ok, you guitar players, how do you know when picking a guitar which one can be tuned or is more easlily tuned than another?? How intimidating to have Pete freaking Townsend sitting behind you when you are plucking away on your guitar!!!
Anywho, if you can understand them it's fairly entertaining!!

All guitars tune essentially as easy as the next, but if the intonation is not correct then you can tune all you like and it won't sound right once you start hitting different chords and parts of the neck as the open string can be tuned, but the rest won't. And while most tune about the same, a good guitar will stay in tune longer.

People always think massive tour bands are just showing off with the amount of guitars they carry, it's only partially true. When you see small gigging bands you'll see the guitar players tuning, and if they play hard tuning a lot. Switching guitars gets one in tune and the roadie can retune or restring if necessary while the show carries on. Yes there can be a rack full of guitars thats ridiculous, but 2-3 off to the side keeps things entertaining. Small club shows are intimate, lots of those bands will talk during which I like, stadium shows need to keep going because there is no intimacy.
