Another reminder that Roger Hodgson is GOD!

Flint

Prodigal Son
Superstar
I have always praised Roger for his amazing guitar solo at the beginning of "Bloody Well Right."

We should never forget the amazing solo he played at the end of "Goodbye Stranger" which takes the song to a level that completely contradicts the lyrics and sets a standards for raising one's spirits:

I recently read a looking-back review of the Breakfast in America album and was reminded of how genius Roger was.

His playing doesn't make you immediately think, "What a talented guitarist!" But if you really look into what he accomplished in his guitar solos, he was not only technically talented, he was incredibly musical and genius at capturing emotions with his instrument.

Going semi-OT here, but the timing was good. The lady who posed for that album cover just celebrated her 95th a couple days ago:

Listening to that solo again, it reminds me of Lindsay Buckingham's solo on The Chain, the way it begins on one notes, builds slowly and upwards in pitch and intensity, and ends in fireworks. Fantastic! :music-rockout: :music-rockout: :music-rockout:

I thought he did a great job singing Jon Anderson's parts from Yes' "Walls" with Trevor Rabin's 90124 album.

In certain ways, I think I like this version better than Yes'. Roger Hodgson rocks!

EDIT: Flint, is that also from the Paris CD?
