Are you Tull fans buying TAAB2?

Being a hardcore Jethro Tull fan I pre-ordered the new "Thick as a Brick 2" from Amazon the day they offered it to me.

It is an interesting idea where the fictional character who supposedly wrote Thick as a Brick in 1972 has written a follow-up 50 years later. Sounds interesting to me.

Anyone else getting it?

So, I missed this... but the verdict is?

I haven't cared for JT's recent albums, but am ever hopeful they get better.

Also, was this a proper JT album or is it just Ian?

This is a perfect sequel to the original.

While musically, I prefer the first, "2" tells a better story.

The second disc is DTS/DD 5.1 and the lyrics are put up on the screen.

A very fine surround mix by our friend Steven Wilson of Porcupine Tree and many other surround mixes.

I give it 4 1/2 :handgestures-thumbup:

The original Thick as a Brick consists of only two long tracks comprising a single song, while the TAAB 2 lists 17 separate songs merged into 13 distinct tracks (some labelled as medleys), although also all flowing together much like a single song.

All songs written and composed by Ian Anderson.
