Knew it was coming, but still... :|

Yeah, time is a bitch. Funny thing is, the "old man" is still better than most if not the rest of them. I had a chance to see them earlier this year, but unfortunately the date they were in Atlanta was at same time I was in Disneyworld. Now, I read this. (sigh).

I should just go ahead and kill my wife and kids...........

Just about 40 yrs, he deserves it especially with some of the tragedy that he has been through in his life.............

He is a very interesting guys to say the least!

I don't know if I am sad or not. Rush is ABSOLUTELY one of my favorite bands. Honestly its probably Rush and Sabbath and then everybody else.

Those guys have done what no one else could do. They created an AMAZING library and they deserve to retire. I agree with Heemans comments and some of the other sentiments posted.

AND LEST WE FORGET AS WE ALL GROW OLDER, WE STILL HAVE ALL OF THE AMAZING MUSIC THEY CREATED FOR US TO ENJOY FOR THE REST OF OUR LIVES!!!

I'm sad, but I think they are making the right choice. Seems rare that bands stay together as long as they have. I mean, as much as I love them, look at Yes for example. Past and present, there's probably been more members in Yes than an orchestra would have.

I am glad Rush finally got into the RRHoF before they retired. They should have been in there a long time ago.

Rush was always a class act and being a class act includes knowing when to quit. They left us with an amazing legacy. They went out in good form. They gave us four decades of great performances and high quality material. What more could any fan want?

His autobiography is in my "to-read" pile.
