Interesting little article about projector frame rates for the new Avatar sequel. I have not seen it yet but have seen some other recent movies (most notably Fathom Events re-releases) with frame rate issues that definitely effected the viewing experience.

I recall watching one of the Hobbit movies in high frame rate at the theater and found it unwatchable (Though not due to technical issues).

I have yet to watch any of the Hobbit films. I'm happy with good memories of the LOTR franchise and don't want to spoil it after reading many similar reviews. The book is also a cherished childhood fantasy reading memory and I am happy with what is still in my head/imagination from back then vs. whatever the movies portray visually.
