I want that on a shirt................

Plus one that shit!

Jomari... I think the confusion is that all of the pictures you posted of cassettes they all had plastic bodies and metal tape. I don't anyone was referring to the cases.

I got confused too. Anyways, at least I kinda cleared it out a bit... :text-imsorry:

so, I was referring to the outside coating of the cassette itself. not the cassette tape case, but the enclosure. some of them were metal right?

None that I, Zing, or Flint know of. I don't mean to speak for them but they posted to that point.

Or me, I don't recall any cassette (at least what I had or saw during those days) having a metal casing. I always thought the "metal" was referring to the tape itself, like Zing posted about.

My first "cassette player" was one of those all in one setups that had a dual cassette, record player, and tuner in one. It was a Magnavox unit. The speakers' wiring had RCA plugs terminated on the end that plugged directly into the unit. Hardcore. :laughing-rolling:

interesting. maybe because it felt heavier? I dunno to be honest. my memory isn't my best friend at the moment. burning out at work...

Do folds do anything to impact the quality of the tape?

I remember trying to straighten out my tapes when I was fooled to play it in a friends car.

*note to self, never trust a strangers cassette tape. nor hot teenagers...

*note to self, this is an expired note to self.

Or your own for that matter. I remember back in the 80s, going through three copies of Queensryche's Operation Mindcrime on cassette. I had (for the time) a great system setup in my car, but the head unit was cannibalistic when it came to cassettes.

We really are spoiled in our hobby.........

I was trying to find a 'realistic' tape disaster that always seems to give me shrills...

those small little folds, then smaller then finally the twist and turns looking like a dreadlock...

whats worse is seeing someone cut up your mix tape.

interestingly enough, I stumbled across this and thought id share it too...
