Some delicious gear-pr0n here, I especially liked the $29K Monitor Audio Platinums, the convertible open-/closed-back Hifiman phones, and the refurbished Marantz receivers. AIX Records got a pretty nice write-up (Dr. W. mentioned that The Absolute Sound and Stereophile made no mention of him).
And I didn't know they made power meters that big!

I was there for all three days of the show. Von Schwiekart , KEF Blade 2's, Tidal' Revel and Martin Logan. Were my favorite rooms for speakers, and HiFiMan 1000's and Abyss were my favorite headphones. Even though the Aybss are like speakers hanging off the side of your head, they had great bass a big open sound.

I hooked up at the show with a guy I met originaly from another forum and now started his own, Amir is his name. He took a lot of pics
and notes for review of the show. I made a few comments in a few threads, the MBL thread was my longest. He also posted you tube videos of the music he heard at the show.

He's kind of a Flint/Altec type you know egghead, ultra tech geek. I played Uber Driver for him at the show and we ate out at three local non chain, restaurants. He lives in the Seatle area, he's really up on Harmon's research is friends with Floyd O'Toole.

I am Electrical Engineer by degree (and hobby) although most of my professional experience has been in software development. After 35 years in technology sector, I retired as VP of Digital Media at Microsoft in 2008. I am founder of Madrona Digital which is a company that specializes in mid to high-end electronics for residential and commercial properties. I also advise local companies in digital media and co-founded a company in that domain that was sold a few years ago.
