Black Sabbath's new album....13, thoughts?

Yesfan70

I'm famous now bitches! vvvvv
Famous
Just heard it for the first time tonight. Surprised no one posted about it here (where the hell is Hot Monkey when we need him???)

It's not bad. I like 'End Without A Beginning' and 'Dear Father'. Those stand out but the others seem weak in comparison. They are good, but The tracks I mentioned are just that much better IMO.

My library copy should be in either this week or next. Looking forward to it.

Took the tracks with me on a day-long road trip today and listened to them a few times.

Overall opinion: in a couple of places I thought I was hearing Black Sabbath doing a parody of Spinal Tap! :)

Favourite track: God is Dead? - by far! (I want that on a T-shirt!)

I thought that Ozzie was in very fine form (and voice.)

It was well worth borrowing the CD from the library.

It's an average album IMO. Iommi is Iommi and Geezer is Geezer and they both play at high level. I wonder if Ozzie's voice on the album is real and untouched by computers.

I liked the one they did with Dio better, Heaven & Hell - The Devil You Know. Some great crushing guitar work by Iommi.

The Blu Ray Heaven and Hell; Radio City Music Hall, is just shy of stellar!!

RIP - Ronnie!!

That's grounds for banning right there, and shit. Better fix this deplorable flaw in your lifestyle pretty damn quick, my friend.

I know, I am really behind on things technology wise. I need to make some upgrades but the time has not been right for me.
