Blue Rodeo

I did a site search and absolutely can't believe that the only mention of Canadian group Blue Rodeo, was in passing in one of my posts in 2011.

I was going to use them as a male-equivalent example to counter Botch's dissing of the B-52's Kate Pierson and Cindy Wilson, by illustrating how two disparate voices can come together in a hugely complimentary manner to yield something that is way more than the sum of the two voices apart (taking into account that Botch would have us summing negative numbers! :) )

So as I was copying YouTube links of a variety of Blue Rodeo songs to illustrate the point, I realized that I was about to seriously hijack my own thread, and opted to start this one instead.

Blue Rodeo, is an absolutely outstanding band that most Americans have not (yet) heard of. It is fronted by Jim Cuddy and Greg Keelor. Jim has a voice that even straight guys could swoon over. Greg's is the exact opposite. You'd not think it, but when the two voices get together it's pretty darn amazing.

I'll post a few examples where each has the lead and the other supports, so you can hear them both individually and then in unison. (And it goes without saying that I highly recommend that you should listen to much more of their music.)
