Bob Carver with Emotiva?

Class AB tube amps are generally more expensive than transistor amps of the same class per given power output. Other than for looks and some bragging rights, I don't see why one should go for it.
 
I think the really interesting thing about this non-announcement is that Bob Carver will be designing subwoofers for Emotiva.

At each step in his long and distinguished career (and through each of the companies that he has been part of / created) he has come up with at least one significant audio innovation - and sometimes many.

There's no reason to believe that he's slowing down any, so just what will that future Emotiva Carver-sub be like?
