Bridesmaids

Wife and I watched this last night, after all of the hoopla surrounding Melissa McCarthy's oscar nod. The movie was pretty funny, but Melissa's character hits it out of the park. My only bitch is she wasn't in it more. Well worth the oscar nomination and I hope she wins.

Another case of too much hype for me. I thought it was good, but not near what everyone hyped. It got kinda hard to watch her keep getting f'd.

BTW, I wasn't all that interested in seeing it, as I thought it would be more of a chick flick, but it's not. The movie itself is nothing new, but it was funny to see a bromance movie with girls.

Side note, the culmination of the movie ends with Wilson Phillips singing Hold On, and the very next thing I watched was Napoleon Dynamite episode last night, which also featured Hold On. Coincidence? Probably, but they did feature a fart joke as well.

Same thing here.

I thought Bridesmaids was an overall enjoyable movie. Probably didnt live up to the hype for me either, but it was good.

IDK Melissa McCarthy's role was funny as hell, but I didn't see anything Oscar worthy...maybe it's my unfamiliarity with her prior work, but I just don't see anything groundbreaking there. Congrats to her on the nod though...fwiw I found it both funny but also underwhelming also due to the hype machine. Unrated/uncut version didn't add anything to theatrical cut worth watching either.
