CD/DVD Cleaner

Re: C/DVD Cleaner

If you feel you have a lot of soot in the room, it may help clean the laser pickup, but that would be just one part of the cd player. I'd be worried that there is soot in other parts of the cd player that the cleaner won't touch, but it is fairly cheap, so I don't think you have too much to lose by buying it.

Re: C/DVD Cleaner

Bonus: you can even use it with Blu-ray players!

:)

Jeff

ps. I've had something just like it from Memorex for over 20 years. I've used it, and you can actually see where it sometimes sweeps up a bit of dust (which accumulates near the brushes). If you really have a dust / dirt issue with the lens, then it should clean it, but like Huey says, that's probably not your biggest problem.
