Okay, I'm digesting my new 5.1 set of Donald Fagen's three solo albums, and this tune/video was one of the extras:

I know this tune, but its not on any of his solo albums. Anyone have any idea?

... let's cut to the love scene, my friend,
Which means look, maybe touch, but beyond that,
Not too much
Love, in the City,
At century's end...

That video looks early 90's, was he even doing solo albums at that time? If I had to guess, it almost sounds like a song from a soundtrack to a movie, maybe why it's not on any of his solo stuff.

:text-link: To an article that discusses the song. First used in 1988 on a Michael J Fox movie, and then has appeared on a couple of other CD's of both Steely Dan and Donald Fagen.

:laughing-rolling:

Oh man, I've killed off too many brain cells! Thanks for posting that, Huey; I own the Bright Lights, Big City soundtrack on CD, just forgot about it!
The article also mentioned another Fagen movie piece that never got on his albums, that I do remember, True Companion (I have this soundtrack too, there's also a killer Nazareth track on it, Crazy):
