Chad Smith - Drummer

heeman

PRETTY HAPPY.........
Famous
I was wondering if Chad Smith was still in the Red Hot Chili Peppers, since he was playing in Chickenfoot. It was interesting to find out that not only is he still playing with TRHCP, but has been playing along with many artists.

One thing that really got my attention was his playing with Glen Hughes.

Interesting career!

Chad recently turned 50 last October.

Don't know, but I'm wondering if "Bombastic Meatballs" comes from the end of a RHCP concert DVD I have, where as he's playing his final drum solo of the night, buckets and buckets of spaghetti (with sauce) start raining down on him. Great fun!

Absolutely hated the RHCP when they first came out, but their sheer talent won me over right around Blood Sugar Sex Magic. They're killer.

Botch, that is exactly how I felt about them. A talented bunch they are!

If you want a good Red Hot Chili Peppers Concert, I recommend this one; I have it on DVD and it rates as one of my best:

Agreed love this one! The audio quality is fantastic.

I really don't think they will be the same without John Fruschante.

I remember an interview with Sammy Hagar about Chickenfoot, saying that Chad was the glue that held the band together. Chad was the reason that Chickenfoot exists. I didn't realize that he was 50. Then again, I've fallen into a bit of a depression realizing that Mothers Milk came out in 1989.

Wow, pretty interesting career. Didn't know he played on one of Cash's albums.
