INDIANAPOLIS — Klipsch Group, Inc. (KGI), which owns audio brands including Klipsch, Energy, Mirage and Jamo, recently took legal action against 23 alleged counterfeiting parties, all based in China. The legal remedies issued by the U.S. District Court for the Southern District of New York include allowing the suspension of service to domains and sellers on trade boards selling counterfeit Klipsch headphones. In addition, the order allows for restraint on funds in the payment processing and bank accounts of those selling the counterfeit products. To date, KGI has restrained 20 of defendants’ accounts having over $750,000 in funds from the sale of counterfeit goods.

Re: Counterfit headgear

I remember something about a speaker or electronics company began getting complaints, they investigated & found that the Company in China that made the electronics were using inferior parts (sandblasting the covers & airbrushing the proper parts numbers etc).
