Daft Punk- Random Access Memories

The album was released today, even though it had been streaming for free on iTunes for the last week or so.

I quite like it; while it is electronica, it isn't the heavy beat dance mix stuff; there's very strong 70s influences and the whole thing is rather smooth and relaxed. Even if you aren't usually into Daft Punk's stuff this one might well be worth a listen.

always been a big fan, thus the avatar at one point.

the album is amazing, especially 'get lucky' with pharrell williams.

you should try his interstellar galaxy 5555 album if you're interested akula. that ones another winner.

Thanks for the heads up, Jomari. I'll have to give that one a try. I wasn't that huge a Daft Punk fan until the Tron:Legacy soundtrack, but they did a killer job on that one too.

Interstellar 5555 was based on the album itself, giving it a sort of 70s japanese cartoon (i cant call it anime for some reason)...

my work filter doesnt let me post anymore google images.

Give it a shot buddy, i personally would enjoy it farther when you watch the dvd or blu-ray first (the blu-ray apparently isnt much of an improvement)...

i hope you enjoy it, definitely the kind of sound i love.

thats one thing i hate about mainstream radio, overkill can definitely ruin a song, or even an album at this point.

i had that occur to me with that bulletproof song back then...
