Been keeping an eye on Ambisonic since 2007.

The new Dolby is almost approaching this computer generated room and space effect.

I find from a recording and playback that Middle Side is a very powerful tool and if the new house closes and I can move in, I would be willing to demo in the music room.

If one looks at the math in the Middle Side, XY, or spaced pair recordings you will find that you can work on the sound and that it is here that a Mastering engineer will use Middle Side to correct levels and the image for l/r and depth.

Mathew Polk in his work with the Sda white paper http://www.academia.edu/629629/SDA_Surr ... hite_Paper

is a good example of the math and problem with speakers in playback. This is part of the problem that ambisonics is trying to use computer code to remove. This is not going to work to use computer code to remove this physical speaker problem.
