When I was in junior high and high school, there were many of my school mates, me included, who would bring our new guns to school for all to Ooo and Ahhh over.

I have no clue why ones offspring drawing a picture of a handgun would prompt incarceration. It appears someone is a shingle short of a full square.

I often carried a 3" Buck knife to school from eight grade on. I never once got in trouble, I never showed it to friends.

Totally screwed up (IMO). That's the law enacted by the elected officials desired by the population. On this BBS we have talked of similar examples.

Hopefully the desire for the liberty decapitation of second amendment rights is not the majority population, but more special interest groups, pseudo majority population.

From reading/looking at the links it seems this all happened in Canada.

Though I am not in favor of such ridiculous responses to a simple drawing, last I checked Canada was allowed to act on their own without permission from the US. Would like to hear the thoughts of some of our Canadian members.

^ Of course, you don't have to look hard to find horrible stories like that. A few weeks ago a 13 year-old boy got a gun somehow and shot a younger girl in the head killing her in their neighborhood about a mile from my house. They both attended the same middle school as my son.

Still, there shouldn't be a freak out about guns. Psychos will find a way to kill. Just look at how many people die from drunk drivers. Car=deadly weapon.
